Montessori Playground

As of 2015, 54.8% of Black women are obese, which increases the likelihood of genetic obesity in Black children. This project is an adaptive reuse playground in Homewood South, a historically Black neighborhood in Pittsburgh. This playground focuses on fitness for adults and young children alike, and uses rainwater collection for environmental play and community engagement.
