Hoop House
The Hoop House is a portable greenhouse created for a 3’ x 12’ bed in Larimer, Pittsburgh. This airtight enclosure takes context from the surrounding churches of Larimer, and ensures that the plants get warmth and light year-round. The structure is made of PVC greenhouse plastic heat-shrunk over an aluminum piping framework. Hinged doors are at the base of the greenhouse to allow residents to interact with the plants. I was in charge of creating the drawings, compiling the construction documents, and modeling the greenhouse in Rhino. This had been my first experience with drafting construction drawings. The full drawing set can be found here.
