Kelly Strayhorn Dance Addition

In this addition to the existing Kelly Strayhorn Theater, the concept of display is deconstructed and repurposed. Therefore, performance is not limited to professional dance alone. The expansion of the Kelly Strayhorn Theater has a direct connection from the black box to the preexisting theater lobby. The black box and the lobby below both double as dance spaces that can also be utilized for a variety of performances. Gallery showings among other forms of events for new media can be showcased in these spaces. While the more private black box is for professional dance training, the public lobby is an amateur dance space.
