Teatrul Hedonismus

This 3-venue theater complex serves as the permanent home for SibFest, the 3rd largest international theatre festival in the world. The theater celebrates Sibiu’s multilingual and multinational past as both the remnant of a Medieval German kingdom and a burgeoning international destination in Romania. Both the physical production and metaphorical narrative of the national troupe’s award-winning production of Faust drive the sprawling, airy design of Teatrul Hedonismus. Ultimately, this theater seeks to accomplish what Faust and every theatrical spectacle has instilled in its participants: to live in the ephemeral.
